Educational Center for Creative Technologies

The Educational Center for Creative Technologies has created a space with the appropriate conditions for students to learn, create and familiarize themselves with the latest technical equipment.

For YSTFI students, there are a technical laboratory, a cinema hall and a recording studio available.

In the "Henri Vernoy" cinema hall, preliminary materials for coursework and diploma projects are exhibited. The exhibition and defense of final diploma projects, as well as screenings of festival films, also take place in the cinema hall of the film archive. Students from both the on-campus and distance learning programs of YSTFI, as well as those in the preparatory department, have access to the cinema hall, DVDs and CDs. Regular meetings and expert lessons are organized in the "Henri Vernoy" cinema hall, followed by discussions where specialists and students share their opinions. Screenings in the cinema hall are mainly conducted online. In 2019, the cinema hall was completely renovated.

The technical laboratory is equipped with all the necessary tools, including cameras, photographic devices, lights, tripods and flashes.

Appropriate equipment is provided to students of the Faculty of Cinema, Television, and Animation for recordings required for their coursework and diploma projects. These recordings can be done both indoors and outdoors. Students use the equipment in accordance with the "Regulations on the Provision and Use of Cinematographic Equipment and Devices at YSTFI."

YSTFI students also have access to the recording studio, which is fully equipped for sound work and acoustic shaping—such as reducing noise and imperfections, modifying or amplifying sounds and adding background audio like music or other sounds. Based on applications, students are allocated specific time slots for studio use and if needed, equipment is also available for off-site work. The recording studio ensures that the sound quality and overall technical standards of student projects are of the highest quality.

The person responsible for the recording studio is David Davtyan.

The editing studio is equipped with computers and appropriate editing software. Students from the Faculty of Cinema, Television, and Animation submit applications, based on which a work schedule is created and a computer is provided. Students can then work on their coursework or diploma project materials. This is where videos are edited, processed, and transformed into complete films. The studio's technical supervisor, Razmik Grigoryan, manages operations and supports students.
